World's first 17 Tesla Cryogen Free Measurement (CFM) system Delivered!

The 17 Tesla CFM system is fitted with an integrated Variable Temperature sample space down to 1.6K.

The system is also delivered with the new He-3 for Cryogen free system to allow lower temperatures down to 300mK.

The system allows measurements of Resistiviy and Hall Effect with sample rotation, AC susceptibility and Ultra low field with micro Tesla resolution.

Successful installations of the 4 Tesla Cryogen Free Mini VSM, with AC Susceptiblity and High Temperature Insert to 650K.

Cryogenic Ltd. now leads the market in high field Cryogen Free Measurement system with a large variety of DC and AC measurement options.  The new Cryogen Free mini VSM delivered to an institute in India has a magnetic field of 4 Tesla, a Cryogen Free Variable Temperature Cryostat with a temperature range of 4 - 300K, a Vibrating Sample Magnetometer with a 5mm sample space and a frequency range of 1-100Hz,  AC Susceptibility and a High Temperature Insert to 650K.

Vibrating Sample Magnetometer
Cryogenic Ltd. has developed a purpose-built drive mechanism for the VSM that can operate over the frequency 1 to 100 Hz with a sample movement of 1 to 10mm. A phase sensitive lock-in drives a true linear motor to move the sample which is mounted on a carbon fibre rod. A secondary amplifier measures the linearity, amplitude and phase of the movement. This facility allows for more accurate control of the sample movement. Samples are easily changed using an airlock to avoid contamination of the sample space. Magnetic movements from 300 to 10-6 emu are readily measured over the full temperature range with fields up to 16 Tesla. The VSM is offered as a probe mounted on an anti-vibration platform and forms part of a complete measurement unit with a supercondcuting magnet and variable temperature sample space. It can be built to use liquid helium or as a cryogen free system.

Specific Heat Probe

Cryogenic has produced a state-of-the-art Specific Heat measurement probe made for samples with milligram weights using a miniature calorimeter on a silicon nitride membrane with thermometer and heater.  The probe adopts a very advanced technique making it a very sensitive and allowing fast measurements.

Desktop Cryogen Free Magnet System. Cryogenic have built and delivered miniature cryogen free magnets with 5ppm uniformity at fields of 2.5 and 5 Tesla, with a working bore of 51mm.  For the lower field the system is designed to run with a 1kW aircooled single phase compressor.

Low boil-off liquid helium cooled systems
These are being produced to meet the customer need for keeping the helium consumption to a minimum. The systems can be fitted with a variable temperature sample space or a He-3 insert, together with a high field magnet. Instead of the conventional wide-neck bath cryostat, the helium reservoir is supported on two small-bore tubes with the magnet sealed into the reservoir. Helium boil-off rates are halved compared to the wide-bore bath cryostats. The same design is also used in our range of optimag cryostats for optical and beam-line experiments.
