Technical Sales – Instrumentation

Job Description

Scientific Instrumentation Sales North America.

Location

Remote, USA. Expected 25-50% travel (varies with academic cycle).
Reside and work in the USA required.

About Cryogenic

Cryogenic is an independent scientific instrument business established in 1992, based in London, England. Our highly diverse, world-renowned team has led us to become the leading supplier of superconducting magnets and low temperature measurement systems for academic researchers and institutes around the globe. The USA-Canada market currently represents around 15% of our business.

About the role

Our US office has a full-time, remote, vacancy within our busy technical sales, support, and business development team. Being based is the US, you will be working closely with both the US and UK Manager.

The company offers a great working environment with the opportunity to work alongside academic scientists in a technical setting as well as career development opportunities within a specialist manufacturing business delivering across an international customer base.

Education and Experience

  • A degree in material science, physics, chemistry, or equivalent physical sciences is required;
  • A MSc or PhD with a research background is highly desirable;
  • Technical knowledge and experience in an instrumentation-sales role involving highly technical products or research experience with a strong interest and drive toward sales and business achievement.

  • Scientific background (Physicist or Chemist preferred);

  • Located close to a major airport;
  • Willingness to travel within US and occasionally to factory in UK.

  • Instrumentation experience;
  • Installation and technical troubleshooting;
  • Familiarity with scientific instrumentation procurement process;

Benefits package

  • Base salary: $55,000 - $80,000 dependant on experience and expertise;
  • Commissions;
  • Health insurance contribution.
